…that’s right party people…Team Atkinson will be rockin’ the West Coast in about a month!! HOLLAH!! We have some ministry stuff to handle in Phoenix the 1st week of August, but week #2…oh SNAP!! It’ll be on and crackalackin’ on the wessssiiiiddee!! For those of you who only DREAM of being as hip as I am (wait…do people still say “hip”? ..or is it only said by those who aren’t hip? …oh well..bygones!….), any-who…I’ll translate: We’ll be in California from August 6th thru August 15th ready to get our “California-knows-how-to-party” ON!! (and yes I do realize that I’ve been quoting 90′s rap songs)
Here’s the thing, both kids are asleep but I’m sure that’s gonna be a short lived dream of mine, so I need to hurry! That having been said, here goes (with updates and whatever else I have time to write):
First of all, NO I haven’t really been sending you all random email links for Viagra and all those other ED drugs. I’ve been hacked. I’m probably just gonna shut that email down and go to gmail, but not today! Too busy! So..if you get any random emails from me with links that aren’t to youtube, or wordpress, just say NO and delete them. (thanks VJ for the heads up!)
Next, OH! Brent got a job! Wahoo!! Like I’ve already told most of you, YES, he’s still in ministry…now he’s in ministry and we have medical and dental benefits! HA! Anyway, he’s selling Honda’s and so far, he likes it! (“he likes it…hey mikey!!” — did I just give away my age by quoting a 70′s commercial??) Please continue to hold our family up in prayer as we transition into whatever our next big ministry project is. And pray that people love Brent enuf to buy a car (or two) from him!!
What else?? OH..Noah!! She’s walking now! Well, toddling at least! It’s soooo cute!! Brent’s posted some video on youtube so check it out (my page is LijahsMommie) when you get a chance. She’s also talking….mind you, it’s her own little language most of the time, but she’s talking nonetheless! HA! It’s sooooo cute! She says about 10 or so words very clearly (mostly food related words becuz a sista likes to eat!), and she’ll pretty much attempt to say whatever you ask her to say. Mommie’s walking/talking girl!!! (and YES, she still has a temper….cute?? ..not so much…)
Let’s see…Lijah-pie!! Elijah’s just the sweetest little boy on th planet! And he LOVES his mommie! All day long he randomly says “hey mommie…I love you!” (gush!!! melt!! swoon!!) And when I do something for him (anything…doesn’t really matter what!) he’ll say “oh, thank you mommie…you can count on me mom!!” Bwahahaahaaa!! It totally cracks me up!! “you can count on me!!” And when he leaves any room Noah’s in, he’ll say “mommie, can you please keep an eye on my sister Noah Faith for me so I can blah, blah, blah…(whatever he needs to do)…I’ll be right back!” It’s so sweet! My kids LOVE each other!!
Anything else?? Oh…ME! Well, nothing much here…still working. Still loving it. May get the boot. You know…the usual! HA! Actually, my Monday babysitter (aka “daddy”) is no longer available and I have no other options at this point, so my working-woman days may have a limited life expectancy. We’ll see! More on that when I’m in Cali!!
I’m sure we’ll have some sort get-together so we can see everyone so stay tuned for that, K?! Otherwise, the countdown is ON, yo!! (I can’t think of another rap song to quote so I just stick to my old stand by: “turn around, stick it out, even white boys got to shout!! Baby got back!” — whew…that felt good!)
